This merits a serious response, so, my top five songs by The Clash are:

5 - London Calling
4 - I'm So Bored With the USA
3 - White Man in Hammersmith Palais
2 - Straight to Hell (live)
1 - Complete Control (live)

One and two are close to interchangable, and honorable mention goes to Career Opportunities, The Magnificent Seven, and Janie Jones.

Today its "London Calling", tommorrow it might be
Clamp Down", the next day who knows?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've played those two a million times and they're probably my two favorites.

Also a huge fan of Lost in the Supermarket and Death or Glory and Train in Vain and I Fought the Law.

Basically I used to listen to the London Calling album over and over again day after day.

By each album I'll go...

The Clash - Clash City Rockers
Give em Enough Rope - Tommy Gun
London Calling - (If I have to pick one) Guns of Brixton
Sandanista! - Magnificent Seven
Combat Rock - Car Jamming/Ghetto Defendant in a tie.
Cut the Crap - This is England

Gorie did this not too long ago.

If I had to pick one, right now, it would probably be "Safe European Home". I could see myself picking "Lost in a Supermarket," "Spanish Bombs," Somebody Got Murdered," "Stay Free," "I Fought the Law," and probably a dozen others five minutes from now.

That's a damn fine list and 1 & 2 are near perfect bookends. Sing in tune you bastards.
