How did "Rap" become "Hip Hop" and how in did
"Hip Hop" get associated with R & B on the charts?

I always thought the Rolling Stones called themselves an "R & B" band.

That's worlds away from "Yaka Yaka Yaka Yaka Yow" rap music.

I think one rap "band" actually made a video called something like the "make your own rap video" that essentially used this sort of format: (I suppose it's no different than the formulas Hair Bands used to use... whatever sells ya know...)
