is that an easy choice? Because I think that that is the most obvious choice at first, but when you think about it, it doesn't seem so obvious. As long as I made enough money to live comfortably, I would much rather take the later.

Not I, I feel like I already have the means to be significantly happy, but not the means to be significantly wealthy. Thus when I weigh the benefits vs the ease of obtaining the option I didn't choose, wealth becomes the clear choice.

Hard to explain I think.

The only logical answer to this question, for me at least, is to always be happy. Happiness is the ultimate goal in my life. Money is just a means that may or may not help me reach the goal of being happy.

no, I hear what you are saying, but I wonder how much being absurdly wealthy would change your life, and how happy you would be being that wealthy.

We can make this somewhat vague question easier by putting it into a more animated context.

Would you rather be Mr. Burns or Ned Flanders?

Mr. Burns is wealthy yet miserable, and Flander's is poor, yet content and happy. I originally chose content and happy in the poll, but now that I've put it into this "Simpsons" context I'd much rather be Mr. Burns.

Excellent.

My point is that I'm already happy. In fact, I think money would add to that happiness by allowing me to enjoy it instead of doing regular crap like working. I think being absurdly wealthy would change my life quite a bit, especially when driving in my 24k gold-dipped Maybach to the new casino I opened. I certainly don't think the wealth would make me happy on its own, but I seriously doubt my happiness quotient would go down from it.
