Default rake question

not sure if this is that right forum.... oh well. i am going on a cruise where the big holdem game is 5-10 limt and the rake is 5% with no cap. it seems a little high but seems like a very beatable rake. truth is i dont know i only play on the internet these days. i was just wondering what you guys think of this and if it is normal, also any game plan changes. thanks

Default Re: rake question

No cap on the rake? I sure hope its not a loose game, because I believe not capping the rake is a horrible game for the players. Lets assume that 4 of us take turns winning a $150 pot... we just took turns paying $7.50 in rake each pot as opposed to the $3 or $4 most places cap the rake at. Just my opinion...
