Default A table full of Pamela Andersons

How much of a consideration should players chip stacks be when joining a 2/4, 3/6 table? Should you be shying away from Pams and looking for Olive Oyls?
Thank you all of you beautiful souls.

LOL. I like this analogy. Can you think of a reason why stacks would matter in a limit game?

As a possible reflection of their success/failure as a poker player.

Good players rarely sit at a table with less than 14BB. Other than that I don't know. I use to bring about 30BB, maybe you could do a research how much good players use to bring and how much they'll have on average. But I suggest you drop it...

Given some of your recent posts I think you should spend some time in the micro limits. Your questiosn demonstrate a fairly poor understanding of the game. A stack size at any given time is indicative mostly of short term luck and the cards a player has recently been dealt, and not long term skill as a poker player. There was a fellow last night at my table who played every hand. When I sat down he had 50BB, 45 minutes later he had 75BB, 4 hours later he had 0BB.

There are much better indicators of skill than dollar amounts.

I buy in for 12BB then every orbit rebuy for 5BB's more. By the end of the night my stack is huge and my opponents are really impressed.

j/k- I bring whatever the default is and rebuy whenever I get below 12BB's. Though at a 2+2 table I will usually screw with my stack depending on how drunk I am. (12 beers or more and I usually have my entire party roll in play at some point.)
