Default too strong?

UTG+1 has been involved in quite a few hands and is fairly active, but not overly aggressive.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) converter

UTG+1 (t3615)
Hero (t3740)
MP2 (t2980)
MP3 (t3360)
CO (t2910)
Button (t3365)
SB (t3260)
BB (t8440)
UTG (t3585)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to t400</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t1000</font>, <font color="#666666">6 folds</font>, UTG+1 folds.

Final Pot: t1550

It is a fine way to play it. I'm ok with seeing a flop too...

You mean raise to 700-800? I wanted to see a flop with this guy, thought he'd call 1000.

No, I mean flat-calling the PF bet. You said he has been agro, many agros (myself included) will fold to the slightest resistance PF, but will continue betting with nothing after the flop if you just call. I'm fine with playing this either way. Your reraise is pretty standard, and I like the amount.

I was concerned a flat call may have induced a couple of other calls, and I hate high pairs more than 3 ways.

This depends on the table action I suppose. If the table has multi-way action when EP player raises 3x BB, then its a definite rereaise. If a late reraising is the norm to early position raiser + multiple callers, then a call is best. In general, though, reraise is probably the better play here. This way, blinds aren't tempted to call with pot/implied odds and you can get heads up with original raiser.
