Two Stars 180 Hands
Final 15 at a Stars 180. I'm below average in chip count, but middle of the pack overall and at my table. Villain has been active and is probably first in the tourney. Key point is that the BB is sitting out.

Re: Two Stars 180 Hands
He is most likey steamed from the previous hand and undervalue your raise. You most likely have the best hand, I call here.

[ QUOTE ]
Key point is that the BB is sitting out. [/ QUOTE ] I think this is a very key point. Besides the fact that he MAY want revenge from before, he wants that BB for himself. By restealing here, he's telling you not to steal his BB or his SB. I think his range can be as wide as 22+, A6s+ KJs+, with some random SCs as well. Also, he overbet pushed all in. I see this as a medium pair very often, so you may as well have him dominated. If this information is accurate, i would call with expectations of being better than a coinflip. |

Re: Two Stars 180 Hands
In hand 1 I was in the SB and the BB was sitting out. I didn't list villain's action. He called with KT and I hit a J to double up. I was right that he wasn't strong, but he insta-called in that spot.
Second hand I thought AK was far more likely than JJ+ given his play. I called, was right, and lost anyway. I think I should have found a more favorable spot, but I did get it in with the best of it. |
