Default Excel help please

I have a web query in Excel. One of the fields I am getting from the web page is " [some integer] / [some other integer] ".

However, if the field is " 7 / 12 ", Excel automattically converts this to July 12, 2005. How do I stop it doing this? I can't just change the format of the cell since when I refresh the web query, Excel changes it back.

Thanks.

Default Re: Excel help please

make it "=[some integer]/[some other integer]"
Edit: Just to clarify, "7/12" it reads as a date, "=7/12" it reads as a fraction.
