this isnt a move party did overnight. it took much planning and legal work to make the seperation happen.

Party has been hinting at a move like this for months. Also, there is no way they could add the sidebet and blackjack options in a week.
This is clearly something they've been working on for a while.

Big companies are capable of making impulsive, horribly blunderful, decisions. (I'm not saying Party did not think things all the way through, but assuming they did is a pretty big assumption.)

I'm not only talking about the Party split.. you dont have to look far to see some of the other actions taken this month... with more to come! Its a well known principle among trading pros, that when a company shows up on the cover of a major financial publication as being great, its time to sell. Rakeback, which was previously a basically non-discussable topic on 2+2, just got its own forum! The full affect on rakeback (an invention by a few smart affiliates, which was never intended to go mainstream) is still unclear. However, it is shortsighted to believe that the rakeback issue is not now on the mind of every onlne Poker Room CEO. (whether this is good or not for the players, remains to be seen)
