Default Mets Stupidity

Ok, the Mets are probably the worst run team in the league right now. I love Willie Randolph, and Im pulling for him, but he is [censored] him bad. BAD.

1. Pitching to ichiro with runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs. walk?

2. taking out heilman for dejean in the middle of the seattle game when they got back to 6-5. why? dejean is pretty crappy, and heliman is actually turned it around and is solid. stupid, stupid. and why is heilman not starting for ishii?

3. wright is not a #7 hitter.

Taking Heilman out really confused me...isn't he a starter? Can't he go more than 2 innings? Even so, I'm glad he did it.

he was starting earlier in the season, but for some reason they have ishii in the rotation instead of him. and hes much better than ishii right now. plus dejean is just crap, just an awful decision.

Great post, I agree with everything.

Picked up Heilman in my fantasy leauge last night, relievers with SP qualification have immense value.

He really dominated the Mariners yesterday. He seems to have a pretty nasty sinker and his stats weren't too bad.

Yeah. I actually had him earlier and was going to use him as a spot starter but then they took him off the rotation. Good pitcher.

You forgot:

Free Jae-Wong Seo!

But actually, the Reds are ten time worse (in the GM side of things). Joe Torre isn't exactly a great in-game tactician, either.

I agree completely with what you just said. I think Willie Randolph might be trying to be too much of a "good-guy" like Torre is.

Randolph and Minaya need to come down hard on more than half the team for not producing.

If that means that Heilman comes out of the pen and Ishii get's his feelings hurt so be it.

If that means that Wright bats 5th and Piazza has his feelings hurt so be it.

If that means that DeJean is released and the Mets have to eat his salary so be it.

If that means that Mienkiewitz is banished to the bench and Daubach and Anderson and Woodward start at first so be it.

I have more of these but I have to stop now because I am getting mad just thinking about it.

Joe Torre might not be the absolute cream of the crop in games, but he never really screws up bad and he does a great job dealing with the players, they all love him.

Tony Womack is batting second. I'd say that counts as "screwing up bad"
