Of course. Nobody ever calls down with just a pair.

I think at least a couple of people are drawing, and I can get two out of everyone once the guy to my left fires again on the turn. isn't there more value in that?

Default Weak Tight of the Day!

If you don't lose a lot of money with a set
when beaten, you didn't play it right.

Please see above.

and if he doesn't fire and someone in late position bets his ace, will you be happy you faced the field with two cold on a big street?

3-bet the flop while they will call and get tied to the pot with terrible hands, and don't chance pushing everyone out on the turn.

Default The Fundamental Theory of Flushes on the River:

If you check, someone has it and will bet, or no one has it and no one will bet.

If you bet, someone has it and will raise.

Therefore, if you bet you will lose, but if you check you might not lose.

I hope you are just being sarcastic.

This is a clear value bet since table is LPP, and these players don't need a good draw to call down. A bet here could get called by 2 players if not more!! I would not be shocked if some player over calls with middle pair .
