Default First in, want action

I have made some normal steal-raises on the button (first in), say 3xBB. Now I get AA or KK and actually want some action, how do I act? Just calling seems pretty suspicious, so do maybe a double of the BB. Should I make something looking like a steal, and hope for a call or re-raise? If the "fake steal" really steals the blinds itīs a waste of a great hand.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I'd say if you've been caught stealing a few times, just doing it the same way again would be the best. Set yourself up for paydirt.

I think I'll raise anytime here (same bet size you did when trying to steal). If you steal the blinds, so be it... you would not have gotten any action post-flop anyway unless you would have been beaten.

Any hand that will give you action after the flop while you would still be ahead is very likely to either call your raise, or even reraise you.
