Yes it is a non-smoking enclosed room, with smoking available right outside the door. They spread 15/30 along with 10/20, but there is usually only 1 table of each going, and usually 2 to 3 no-limit tables going. Yes it is fishy!

Default Re: Is Resorts now an easier game than Potawatomi?

I will try to make this clear. Resorts and Harrah's in East Chicago have been the best limit holdem poker room in the midwest for years. Yes Resorts offers no limit but this has not slowed down the limit games much. Some of the limit players that left when Trump opened it's poker room are now back. The times that I have been at Resorts there was one 500 max no limit game going. At the same time there has been as many as eight or nine limit games going on. The Casino trend now is going to no limit at the cost of limit games. At Resorts this is not the case. I hope I made this clear and GOOD LUCK.

The 15/30 game no longer runs. The biggest game is 10/20, except for rare occasions. They have had mixed success starting a 20/40 game on Fridays starting at 4:00 PM.

I believe the no limit killed the 20-40. That, and the loss of a key floor personel.

The 20-40 games ar Resort are very good, but I've never seen anything like those Milwaukee games when the room first opened. I wonder if I'll ever see anything like that again in my lifetime.

So you think the NL game drew the sharks away from the limit game??

[/ QUOTE ]

Just the opposite. The no-limit is drawing the fish away from limit. At least that's what seems to be happening with the 20-40 game. Poorer players who are struggling in the 20-40 game, try out no-limit because they "think" it's a big game. Ironically, the no-limit actually plays much smaller than the 20-40. Sometimes this isn't the case, but it normally is. A quick glance at the two games will show MUCH more money on the 20-40 table.

The problems is that these poor players will lose at a much quicker and steadier rate to the no-limit sharks. Their money will last longer at limit. Unfortunately, they don't realize that.

I don't know where you're getting this. I play the 20-40 game almost every day and it's clear no-limit has had a negative impact on it. Yeah, the game is still good and yeah, they still get 2 feeders off at their busiest times, but no-limit has definitely slowed down the 20-40 game and I also notice the 10-20 game has slowed as well.
