PokerTracker - Rating Players, does anyone have it set?

Pokertracker requires you to manually set values of things to rate players their rate players section (to make someone a fishy, aggressive etc). I have no clue what the different stats (VP$IP and all that) mean or why they make you an LAG, TAG etc. It also alows you to import ratings. I was wodering if someone had a file that had the different values to rate people in pokertracker, or page I could copy them from. Thanks.

Are you playing Limit or NL? It makes a difference. If you are playing NL go to the sticky in the SSHE forum and find your ratings there. Also, the Pokertracker website forum also has some good ones in their forum.

Also, you might know this already, but under I think the options menu, there's a line 'auto rate players' If you click on that I believe a series of three tabs comes up. the second one has the settings for the different icons/types of players and the default values. I'm personally less concerned about which icon get assigned to a player and more interested in what a players tendencies are. Just because PT rates a player Loose Passive/Passive doesnt' mean he/she won't surprise you once in a while. Just don't fall into the habit of depending too much on what PT is telling you.

Thanks. These are just the default bisonbison settings I started out with that someone pasted into a post and I copied it from there a long time ago. I use a tweaked setup with some other stats most of the time, but I think these are good standard settings until you learn what the numbers mean. Then you can adjust them to whatever is most meaningful for you.
