OOT: How much do I tip the movers?
Sadly, I am moving tomorrow (New Years Eve). I will no longer live in bachelor pad lifestyle I have grown accustomed to, time to downsize so I can save for future expenses.
I hired a moving team of 3 men and a truck. There are no stairs involved, but my hallway is easily 1 city block long because I live at the end of a pier in the middle of a river. we estimate the move will be done in 4 hours, it would have been even faster if it wasn't for some fragile furniture that will take some time to dismantle safely. My new home is only 5 blocks away, so travel time will be virtually nil. For their services I am being charged $115/hour, so the estimate is $615 (I think tax is included). How much should I tip the team? Should I tip each person separately, or just the team's foreman? Thanks, and happy new year! *TT* |

I think $90 for the team should do based on your link, thanks! TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |
