Default Who\'s going to switch to Stars because of the VIP program?

It seems comparable to RB on PP, maybe even better for very big players since you get advantages for playing more. For big players it looks like they'll literally buy you whatever you want for a fair amount of VPPs.

I'm not sure right now, but I did a sample of 20 or so Stars SNGs just to see how they were. The players seem a lot looser. It's harder to play hands early cause blinds escalate so fast. It's also annoying to not be able to gauge how many hands remain in a blind level since they're timed. The support/software at Stars is clearly a lot better, but only being able to register for one SNG at a time can be a pain.

It obvioiusly depends on how good of a value the FPPs become. I've played a bunch at Stars and I can win there too. I've grown to like the Party structure, but if the deal is good enough at Stars, I'll make the switch.

I think that an FPP works out to be worth about 1.6 cents. At the bronze level this is 8% rakeback when playing SnGs. You need to get to the SuperNova level which gives 3.5x FPPs (28%) in order to get on par with Party Poker rakeback. Being able to buy stuff with FPPs is nifty, but just getting the cash is obviously better because you can use it on whatever you want.

splash: The program has been launched, see http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/main.html for details.

btape: It looks like they will get you whatever you want if you're a Supernova member.

As the Rolling Stones said, "You can't always get what you want." Or can you? As a Supernova, you're not limited to just the array of items that you see on the store shelf. If there is something special you're looking for, anything in the range of approximately $3000 and up, just let us know and we'll personally see what can be done to make it happen!

[/ QUOTE ]

I imagine this could be used for anything from jewelry to a car. Yes, cash is better, but if you also consider the freerolls and better software it might be worth it.

WTF! You can buy a Porche! Man only if I made millions of FPP's a year.

Oh interesting. I didn't know it was launched. Looks like you can buy some pretty cool stuff. Even if you don't just go for the big tourny entries. I'll have to look at this close later. It would only take 400 $60 turbos in Jan to reach Platinum status. And only 160 tournies each month after Jan due to the 150% FFP bonus.

No you need to play 400 every month, bonus FPP's do not count as VPP's

Oh ic....that makes it way worse. But for buying stuff, those bonus FFPs still count, right?
