Default Can\'t get anyone to bite at $50NL

It seems that when I moved up to 50NL from 25NL, it's so much harder to get people to call you down. Every blue moon you get one to call you down, but it just seems like such a slow process. Is this just the nature of no-limit?

Just wait til you get to 100NL (full ring on party). At certain tables, 1/2 the hands someone makes a PFR and everyone folds to him...the other half everyone just folds to the BB. Fun-fun.

Focus more on table image. Make more overbets. Push draws and the nuts. Use more table chatter, make your presence known. Make people hate you.

Don't underestimate this. If you can tilt them, you practically have their stack. Try to get a seat to their left

i've been having problems at the 50's recently too. just a couple weeks prior it seemed like there were donks galore, but now i've been breaking even for the past week and a half.

Must be the holiday season causing the tables to tighten the F up, but it's killing me.

Its all about table image. If they view you as a tight player who only bets when he has made a hand then you are never going to get paid off. When you raise make sure to almost always fire out a continuation bet (unless you have a bunch of callers and miss the flop). Also take stabs at pots. Take down little pots that people seem alergic to. Make a bet when you the flop is garbage and the opponent represents an overpair. Make raises with good drawing hands, etc.

You can't simply nut-peddle and play your cards. If everyone simply played the cards they were dealt, everyone would break even since the cards distribute evenly (actually youd lose to the rake if you want to be a nit about it).

You need to set up plays, attack pots, abuse position, put your opponent on a hand and play your hand so that you can extract the maximum from him. There are plenty of times where you won't get paid off simply because they arent completely braindead or they don't have anything worth paying you off. Fortunately, the majority of 50nl players ARE completely braindead. NL is a game of situations, and you wait for the not-so-common situation where you stack someone (in comparison to when you fold pf, raise a pot, etc). You stack someone by both of you catching a hand, but on top of that, getting your opponent to put his stack in the middle. There is a huge amount of skill involved there, as many times skill determines whether you win a 20$ pot or a 120$ pot at this limit. Up until that point you should be preparing every aspect of the situation to be conducive to you stacking them.

No one said it would be easy! Sorry for rambling its late.
