Default Internet Security Advice

I'm looking for Anti-virus, Anti Spam and Firewall software. Are there any differences between McAfee, Norton, and Symantec packages? Is any one vendor bettor or worse than the others?

Thanks,

Bubbagump

There was a thread on here awhile back that gave advice for all three. ZoneLabs seemed the the firewall of choice (works great I think). AVG is a good free virus scanner. And for adaware Spy Sweeper, Spybot S&D, and Ad-aware are all good options.

I vote for zone alarm too- I like free and while i know nothing about this subject, I tell myself that if troublemaking hackers were going to f up a security/firewall program they would go after one of the bigger corporate ones and leave little z alarm alone.
