Default \"Not That There\'s Anything Wrong With That\"

Sam's Town Tunica this past Saturday. I've been in the poker room most of the day. About 3:30pm decide to go check in. As I stroll through the casino to the hotel, I notice several paired up women. And not to be demeaning or stereotypical, but several had that "butch" look to them.

In the hotel lobby, I'm kind of looking around for some info on a convention or something. I finally see, "Melissa Ethridge in Concert 8/14"...ahha....not that there's anything wrong with that.

"Not that there's anything wrong with that(live straddle & raise in the dark)":

I'm in seat #8, lady to my left in #9, has been up against the guy in seat #3, the last few hands. Raising his bets and betting into his raises, and beating him.

I've got the big blind, and #3 tells the lady if she'll straddle, he'll rasie blind. She obliges. Folded to #3, and good to his word, he raises with out looking. 1 MP and 1 LP call. I look down and see Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. The table's in a gambling mood...so why not, lets see a flop.

Problem is, straddler re-raises, and #3 caps it at 5 bets. Both limpers call, and I'm not too sure about this but I take another pull on my Bud, and throw in the chips.

The flop is a beauty, all clubs with the Ace. I happily bet into the field. Straddler calls, #3 raises, MP folds, LP re-raises, and I cap, straddler folds.

The turn....another Ace...damn. I bet out, #3 finally gives it up, LP raises...damn...I figure him for a FH, but re-raise anyway, LP just calls....maybe I'm still good.

The river....any guesses....yep an Ace. I check call and get shown AK for the quads.

It took a few hands to shake that one off.

I had been at this table most of the day, with about half the same people. It started out a relatively tight 4/8 table in the afternoon, and turnded into a barn burner. That was 1 of the 2 biggest pots of the night, and there were several close to that size. Luckily, I got to drag in a few.

It's amazing what a few drinks on a Saturday night will do for a tight table...not that there's anything wrong with that

The joke was old and unfunny before that episode of Seinfeld was even over.

Seinfeld is NEVER "unfunny."

Thanks for the response, appreciate it a bunch. Short, concise, to the point, and a bit rude....not that there's anything wrong with that.

Default Not intended....

As a bad beat story...sorry you took it that way...I've had near 250 posts and none resemble a bad beat story, except this one.

I just thought it was an interesting hand, on an interesting Saturday night....but never mind....
