I play 5/10 SH too and I have NO problem getting action on my big hands. My stats are 21/16.

Of course, there are so many ummmmm, marginal players that getting action is easy. I'm just saying since I've started open raising lots neutral EV hands from CO and the button, my bb/100 for my top hands have really increased, thus my WR.

I see what your saying but maybe the problem was you should be raising those hands in the first place.
Always good to keep em guessing. :P

I'd rather play the cards how they come and base my image on that.

If I get poor cards I assume I have a tight image and will steal a few more flops.

Of course if the cards have been running hot I'm not going to throw too many loose bets out there to win small pots because they will call me down more.

Over how many hands? You have 100,000 hands with the LAG style to compare with 100,000 hands of your former style? It really is pointless to make statements like this unless you can provide some meaningful comparisons. How many posts do we see here saying "My WR over the first 10K was 4.6 BB/100 and after a disastrous run it is now down to 1.7 BB/100 over 30K..."

Playing LAG is not as easy as you think, as is clear from the very few posters who contribute here that have been successful long-term. It will increase your variance but until you have seen enough hands you have no real estimate of reliability.

My suggestion has nothing to do with image.

Shouldn't it though...? I read your post and see your personal reasons for doing so but I think that playing 30/60 short handed on some of these sites, you are against a lot of opponents keen enough to notice you're never playing hands... You could probably take down a few pots just by putting chips into the pot.
