Reminds me of the Simpsons episode in which Krang and Kodos (the tentacled aliens) impersonate Bill Clinton and Bob Dole at election time to take over the US. At the end when Krang wins and all humainity is enslaved by the aliens, Homer says "Don't blame me; I voted for Kodos!"

Classic. Should be compulsory viewing in Political Science classes (as well as the bit where they admit to what they've done, and laugh "What are you going to do about it?
