That this hasn't been hailed as the post of the like EVER is a sign of just how bad OOT has become.
If you don't see the glory in this post, you should stab yourself in the face with something so blunt that it won't actually work for stabbing until you hit yourself until you reduce your fact to a putty like texture.

I've been skeptical in the past. But I have to admit that the more I look at this painting, the more I like it.
EDIT: Also, the new caption is very helpful.

The book is called"What is Art" by John Canady. I think it is an excellent book with many pictures but it is the only book on Art I have ever read so there may be many better books out there, I don't know. Check it out.
