QTs in the BB (6-max)
Very early at the table, so not a lot of reads -- CO seems like a reasonable player from a few hands I played with him at another table.
Absolute Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP calls, CO raises, 1 fold, SB calls, Hero calls, MP calls. Questionable? Flop: (8 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) SB bets, Hero... Now what? |

Re: QTs in the BB (6-max)
Preflop: reasonable
Flop: Since SB led and you have 2 still to act behind you I think a fold is in order. You have 2 backdoor outs straight (not that great), flush (only Q high, and the 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] puts trips on board), and your overcard draws don't have enough strength with a PFraiser. |

Re: QTs in the BB (6-max)
Fold looks good. 2 weak backdoor draws and weak overs which are no good (if someone has a 9), facing a SB donkbet and possibly a raise from CO after you.

Re: QTs in the BB (6-max)
to me this is usually a 3 or a pocket pair like 55 or 66 no?

to me this is usually a 3 or a pocket pair like 55 or 66 no? [/ QUOTE ] Still you are behind those hands too without any spectacular draws, and your probably behind/dominated by CO who still has to act. |

Re: QTs in the BB (6-max)
So consensus = fold.
In the actual hand I was thinking I had about 4 outs combined getting 9:1 so I called. My reasoning at the time was that I would call if the CO autobet, so I should probably call now. I think that was pretty stupid though, b/c of the live players behind me who could still raise. As I look at it now and read these responses, I think calling may be the worst option. I'm thinking Folding > Raising > Calling. (Raising has the advantage of possibly folding hands that dominate me.) |

Re: QTs in the BB (6-max)
I see nothing wrong with the call preflop. You've got some high card strength, suitedness, and some straight potential. You're in the big blind. Several others in the pot. Easy call IMO.
Fold the flop. Hanging around with weak backdoor/overcard draws ain't that special with two still to act. |

Re: QTs in the BB (6-max)
Preflop is fine, and this is a flop fold.
