I doubt it. From what I've read, Pujols takes care of his body very well. He plays 1B which doesn't put nearly the stress on the body that CF does.

He also plays outfield, RF if im not mistaken. But let's remember, to make a great career you have to stay healthy, whether your playing outfield, 1B or DH you are always prone to injury. I think at 25 years old(right?), saying that he could possibly hit 500 HR's is a giving him a lot of credit, give him about 5+ years before you can even wonder what his stats might be. But I think 500+ HR and 2300+ hits right now are my estimates

This is a bit early but I think if Pujols can stay healthy and does not screw everything up when all is said and done he could be one of the best 5 baseball players ever.

The beginning of his career reminds me a lot of Frank Thomas.
