I think when you consider value, it has to be LBJ. I've had NBA League Pass the last few years, and when Duncan is out, the Spurs are still formidable. However, watching Cavs games, they are atrocious whenever LBJ isn't playing. It's not even close.
LeBron has no Manu or Parker to rely on when he's not playing. This year could be different, although Hughes has not played up to his contract yet.

Last year, the the spurs were 17.3 points per 100 possessions better with Duncan on the court. The Cavs were 9.7 PP100 better with James on the court. But yeah, you are right the Cavs sucked without Lebron. The thing is, they weren't that good with him either (while the Spurs with Duncan were awesome).
