i'm new to this... i don't understand what all the abbreviations are
i know utg is under the gun and sb/bb are small and big
but i don't know what CO, MP1(2,3), Hero along with a few others stand for

CO = "cutoff seat", meaning the player to the button's immediate right.

MP = "middle position". When you're referring to two different middle position players in the hand, you refer to them as MP1 and MP2.

When someone is describing a hand history, "Hero" usually refers to the person describing the hand. Not everyone wants the public to know what name they use on a site, so when posting a hand history from an Internet poker site many people will replace their actual screen name with "Hero".

When people use bisonbison's hand converter to post hands here, it labels them as "hero".

The positions for a full ring go as follows: sb, bb, utg, utg+1, utg+2, mp1 (middle position 1), mp2, mp3, co (cutoff) and button.
