Default AJs missed flush but rivered TPTK

Villain was sLP which caused an alarm to sound on the turn. With the J coming on the river, I have to call, right?

Please feel free to comment on all rounds.

I think the turn raise means you're most likely behind, but unless CO is very passive postflop, I don't think he has to have two pair or better on the turn. He could just have something like A9 that he waited until the turn to raise you with. Of course, other hands such as 66 and T8s and 77 are also possible.

Still, I think you're good often enough on the river to call him down, even though your hand didn't improve to what you actually wanted it to.

IMHO, There are alot of hands that you are behind too here,
like:

10,8s, 99,77,66,22 but I would still pay him off, because he may have raised thinking you missed your "AK" "AQ" flop and he is sitting there with 109s thinking he is good...........

a passive player won't bet the river with enough worse hands for check raising to be better than calling. if he's proven to be passive you could probably bet-fold. I like check calling. if it was a scarier card, like it brought a 3-flush, I'd definitely bet

yea but are we talking about squeaky clean passive here that won't bet less than two pair here? cuz there are some people who aren't particularily aggressive who we mistakenly view as passive when they're probably passive-neutral, who are aggressive enough to bet less than a J there.

of course bet-folding works for me, but this situation doesn't seem all that "i'm getting killed here so I better just call and see" to me so check-raise-folding works for me even better here.
