A4s-A7s i raise to try to isolate unless the BB likes to coldcall, in which case limping is fine.

A2s, A3s i limp unless the BB likes to fold alot, then i raise.

I generally toss the weaker offsuit aces out of position. if you are going to play something like A6o, i think a raise is in order.

I think limping is best. You are giving up some equity pf, but I think you make it up post flop because they have a hard time putting you on an ace and if you miss the flop you aren't tied to the pot.

Think of it this way: if you limp and miss the flop you lose .5 sb. If you limp and hit you are more likely to get action on your ace. So you win a lot, lose a little.

If you raise then you are not likely to get action when you hit your ace, but you are out of position and likely to waste bets in someone elses pots when you miss.

I don't think that a4 or a7 are different in this regard. With regard to BB's stats, I might be more compelled to raise if he was very tight.

How tight are the blinds?

I'm folding most bad offsuit aces.

Sorry, missed that in your original post

This play works much better obviously when you can get it heads up. If you're playing 1/2 or 2/4, I wouldn't try it except with your better aces (A9o+ or maybe A8o) since the blinds are coming along usually. That's my cutoff anyway.

I would muck A4o without much thought.
