Re: Money, Baseball, and Success
Torre is not nearly the coach of Bobby Cox or LaRussa or Scioscia, or Garner, or Gardenhire, or Wedge, or (gulp), even Dusty Baker, or Felipe Alou, or Manuel, or Leyland, or McKeon, or Pinella....etc.

Re: Money, Baseball, and Success
[ QUOTE ]
Boston spends a lot, but please don't lump Boston in with NYY. Boston spent 26% more than #4 LA; the Yankees spent 114% more. [/ QUOTE ] This is why I hate Boston fans right here. No, you are right, Boston is completely different from NY. They are the cash strapped underdogs battling against the big market yankees who just buy their championships. |

I simply stated the fact that Boston is a wealthy team, but NYY are far wealthier. besides that, your analogy was right on. |

Re: Money, Baseball, and Success
I have a rule for people who call Joe Torre laughable. I call them morons. Its a simple rule, keeps things nice and neat.
