Torre is not nearly the coach of Bobby Cox or LaRussa or Scioscia, or Garner, or Gardenhire, or Wedge, or (gulp), even Dusty Baker, or Felipe Alou, or Manuel, or Leyland, or McKeon, or Pinella....etc.

Boston spends a lot, but please don't lump Boston in with NYY.

Boston spent 26% more than #4 LA; the Yankees spent 114% more.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is why I hate Boston fans right here. No, you are right, Boston is completely different from NY. They are the cash strapped underdogs battling against the big market yankees who just buy their championships.

That's like Oprah complaining that she's poor and won't ever have what Bill Gates has.

I never said any of those things, but thanks for putting those words into my mouth.

That's why I hate people who lack reading comprehension.

except, I didn't complain about being poor, or never being able to have what Bill Gates has. I simply stated the fact that Boston is a wealthy team, but NYY are far wealthier.

besides that, your analogy was right on.

Can I have some of what your smoking?

If Torre quit at the end of this year he would have over 10 job offers by the end of the night.

I have a rule for people who call Joe Torre laughable. I call them morons. Its a simple rule, keeps things nice and neat.
