Do you like this push?
Everyone limps, figure I don't see much strength and I have some nice fold equity. Even if I get called, I can assume its a coinflip. Do you push here?

Re: Do you like this push?
I experimented with this move the other day by pushing w/55 after a bunch of limpers and was called by an A8o or something (I lost the race). In retrospect, it was probably a poor move.
I like playing your low pair for set value much more. If you hit that 4, you can win substantially more than by gambling for what's in the pot PF. |

Re: Do you like this push?
Playing for set value is free. Free is good.

Re: Do you like this push?
Big stack can call and lose and still have a dominating stack. Your stack needs to be more of a threat to him to make this move.

Re: Do you like this push?
I think this is a very standard push. [censored] set value with those blinds and that stack on the bubble. Move it in and try and double or pick up a 30% increase to your stack. Who cares if you get called?

Re: Do you like this push?
My thoughts exactly.
I will only hit a set once every 8 trys. I have good fold equity (6BB raise), and since none of them showed any strength it might just work. If I get called, I am either a slight favorit or a huge dog. I think the former would be the case with most calls. Anyone esle agree with my reasoning for the push? Or should I learn from this and not do it agian? I am trying to learn here people RESULTS: I push, big stack calls, I win the coinflip, double up and coast into the money. |

UTG, Button, and SB really don't have a lot here. Of course, they'll call some of that trash, especially when you pick up t400 sitting dead when they all fold. I do this 100% of the time, and I think it's correct. |
