I think that this is a fairly straightforward call. Pushing is just stupid for the obvious reason that you are usually only going to called by AK,QQ,KK,AA (maybe JJ). Reraising both sets you up to get reraised back and discourages hands like AQ to join the pot as well. The one advantage of reraising though is that if he doesn't reraise back then you are probably aren't dominated (can't be positive though).

I absolutely agree that it is a call. But, there are lots of times where the fact that you are only going to get called by a monster means you absolutely have to push. Again, I do not push here, but there are lots of posts here where people are going all in early with huge overbets with AK. It doesn't sound terrible to me, just not as good as calling. I think it is much better than making a reraise here.

Sometimes I call, sometimes I push. Don't think there's much to choose between the two options.

EDIT: Well, I guess since the raiser is UTG, calling is probably best.

Has the raiser shown down any hands in the tournament? Due to stack size, had to win some pots early on. If they've opened from EP with a solid 3xbb raise in a 55 I'd also give credit for a good hand.

I like a call here so as to not open yourself up to a reraise. UTG could possibly reraise with AA/KK/QQ/AK depending on the type of player they are. Then you are in a bind and possible coinflip. If you call and miss the flop, you could save yourself money.

I usually call. I have been known to fold in similar situations too...

btw I agree with what another poster said, if I know the UTG player is solid+tight I am simply folding here.
