Given your position preflop, I would raise, not limp. You're good on the flop, so get the money in however you think is best.

I agree that we're best alot right now, but if the money gets in I think we are best a minority of the time.

On a 7-high, two-suited, minor possibility of straight draw flop? You're having a laugh, surely.

If the board's that dry then what gets it in against you?

EDIT: Hmmm, I'm thinking this over a bit and softening my stance somewhat. I just see no need to get stacked by QQ+ here with 75 bb's. Leading seems like a smart way to find out if your beat and get significant value out of hands you beat.

Does anyone fold this preflop to the raise? I almost always would to a 5xbb raise if I limped pf - most flops I'll be scared of at least one overcard, and I'm out of position. Too tight? If folding JJ here is bad, how about 1010?

If I have KK, I am scared of the one overcard, the A.

If I have JJ I am not that scared if only one of three overcards hits. Especially, if its a Q or a K I always bet out. Usually you'll take the pot right there.

Agreed, I lead a Kxx or Qxx flop too. The problem is when I'm called, which may happen less often than I'm giving credit for. Still, when it is called I have to shut it down on a non-jack turn, which informs the villain he can have the pot, with or without better cards. I'm starting to suspect I play too weak-tight.

You are still better than 50/50 to flop at least an overpair when holding JJ preflop.

I think this is a much better question with 88.

Whats your standard flop line here?
