Default Pocket 2s

I've been thinking a lot about the play of small pocket pairs. I'm just trying to get a feel for how successful people are with small pocket pairs.

If you have at least 50,000 hands in your PT database, please answer this poll:

22 is usually straightforward. All the toughest decisions with this hand come preflop. And even that is pretty straightforward.

That's not true. If enough people with large sample sizes votes we could learn something. But I think there should be more alternatives.

Up .12 w/ 40K hand at 3/6. Down .09 over w/ 50K at 2/4. Guess it shows the variance where you have a hand ~200 times and don't have that high of a VPIP on it anyway.

Well. I was curious because there seems to be some pre-flop differences in the way people play them. I rarely play them UTG. People were calling me crazy for ever throwing them away in a small stakes game.

To me, they're just not profitable unless you can play them in a multiway pot or with position.

Since 2s are so easy to play after the flop, I thought this poll might give some indication of success with different pre-flop strategies.

Like I said, I'm very tight with 2s, but they are a profitable hand for me. I'm wondering if people that always play 2s in an unraised pot (and sometime in raised pots) show a profit.
