This seems horribly, horribly standard. I agree with Ishmael when I say, NICE HAND! Also, you're too good to be posting this kind of a hand. What's the catch???

I agree with Evan. The reads should not be an afterthought, they are indeed part of the hand itself. Still, nice hand.

ok ok ok... u right. So much for the judge.

Cutoff has an extreame VPIP, and tends to call down to the river with overcards such as QT0 on a board of A832 double suited. Villain always plays passivly unless he smells weakness. Then he is guarenteed without fail to bet.

In this unique situation... is there any value to a river check-raise? I was tempted to do so, but I decided to use my better judgement.

If he will bet when he smells weakness, why not a river check-call. It costs the same as a river check raise that is three bet (assuming a fold), and you are guaranteed to see the showdown with a river check-call that costs one big bet. I think this is my play here. Not to mention, it costs as much as a river bet-raise, which is the line you took. This way, you give your opponent the chance to sense weakness and bluff, and it costs the same amount anyway. Granted, this shoots holes through your fold equity, but I like to see a showdown here.
