Default Re: Santa\'s Party Pack bonus?!

Yeah I went to check mail later tonight and there was an e-mail for hubby's party account which he hasn't played on in like 5 months, and he got the 30% deposit bonus invite plus the Santa thing was in the e-mail too, way too late to get the 100 points for today. If I hadn't seen the post here on 2+2 earlier I would have missed out too because I got no pop-up, no e-mail. We may have considered depositing into his account with the possibility of both those bonuses had we gotten the e-mail earlier

I'm still going to try for the $300 on my account but I didn't get any deposit bonus offer.

i thought this was strange too.

I just happened to see the Santa thing in the lobby at around 9pm and I clicked the link to see what it was about so I will be able to do all 31 days if I want.

But it seems like Party doesn't even want their players to be able to play their promotions...which is kind of weird.
Why have a promotion if you tell the players so late that they don't even qualify for it (or at least for the best part of it...which would be to the most benefit to Party as well).

"Dear xxxxx,

is this the Dec VIP offer?!

I don't think this has been updated. I played a ton today and mine shows 0 points.

Mine is the same.

I know I played enough to earn 100 points on Dec 1 and Dec 2 but it shows me with 0 days.

Perhaps it gets updated only when the regular party-points page is updated (which is about 9a-10a eastern time usually).

100 points is easy and takes less than 1hr/day.

each 50+5 sng = 18points. 6 of those and you got your 100 points for the day.

although i have absolutely no idea how they came up with 18points for a 50+5. i just reversed engineered how many points i got for playing 10 sngs.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just to clarify: You only get 12 points for playing a 50+5 Sit&Go. You can find all the ways to earn points here

All in all the bonus is not bad for limit players it seems. But for NL players like me, getting 100 points per day is not so easy, since we only get 4 Party Points for 20 raked hands!!! It seems in 200$ NL 6-max I will need about 800 hands per day

I have been emailing them because I am very upset about this. In the first email I got back they said

"As this is a common promotion to all our real money players, we have not sent emails to the players"

If this is a common promotion to all players, then why not PROMOTE it?? They obviously want to say "we are offering everybody a $300 bonus" when in fact they are only offering it to people that are not only willing to put in the time every single day, but were fortunate enough to sign in on Dec 1.

Now those of us that didn't know about it have to settle for 50% of the bonus with over 80% of the amount of play

Total BS

Default Isn\'t this essentially a 17X (or more) bonus

It seems to me that this is a VERY high play through bonus.

At 3/6 you get 12 points for 20 hands. If I did the math right, it translates into:

$300 bonus in 31 days = 5000 Raked Hands = 17X playthrough
$150 bonus in 25 days = 4167 Raked Hands = 28X playthrough
$75 bonus in 20 days = 3333 Raked hands = 44X playthrough
$30 bonus in 10 days = 1667 Raked hands = 50X playthrough

For the N/L player it appears to be even worse, since 4 Points are given for each 20 hands:

$300 bonus in 31 days = 15500 Raked Hands = 52X playthrough
$150 bonus in 25 days = 12500 Raked Hands = 83X playthrough
$75 bonus in 20 days = 10000 Raked hands = 133X playthrough
$30 bonus in 10 days = 5000 Raked hands = 167X playthrough

If I calculated this incorrectly, could someone please post the right numbers.

For those of us who missed the first day, we are basically screwed, having to play a $150 28X bonus at 3/6 or 83X for N/L.

ENJOY!

It's great for SNG players though. You could basically play 7 x $55s and 1 x $109 a day, generating 102 points, and $44 in rake, for a total of $1364 and getting $300 back = 22%.

i think muckinwinners probably calculated correctly.

I'll have to play 180 raked-hands each day at 3/6 or 5/10 to do this.

Normally I wouldn't bother...but making myself play every day is something that I actually want to do...so if this stupid little promotion of theirs helps me continue to achieve that then I could be fine with it.

I generally agree with hulk's thoughts that they could consider actually promoting their own promotions.
But I don't think it's worth getting too upset about their idiocy since it's a pretty bad promotion anyway.
Interpoker's 12 days of XMas stuff is probably a better promotion on most days for the low-limit bonus-chaser.

Instead of chasing party's bad promotion with high play-through requirement (even higher if you missed the first day) just don't do it. You can even tell Party that you would have been happy to do it for all 31 days if they had bothered to tell you to do that...but since they didn't provide that courtesy you won't be doing it at all since the lower levels aren't even worth it.

For limit he probably did, but for tournaments, you get 12 points per $55 and 18 per $109..
