Default Is a 15.4 inch widescreen laptop monitor big enough to 4 table?

Thinking of picking up a cheap laptop so that I can play poker online while hanging out with my wife while she watches Tv.

I just was wondering whether anyone else has some experience with this yet. I am not up to multitabling but just want to be prepared for the eventuality.

Then again I guess that if I won enough money to justify multitabling I could also probably justify the purchase of a 17inch laptop too.

Any thoughts?

The size of the screen isn't what determines this, it's the resolution it supports.

I would go with a 17 and spend the money to get good resolution, I had a 15.4" HP and it wouldn't allow 4 tables easily. I wouldn't think it would work well unless the resolution was at least 1280 X 1024. I had a 17" widescreen laptop with 1440 X 990 something and it works ok, but I am waiting for UPS to deliever my 2001FP b/c I need the resolution.

Did you have to keep moving tables around to keep the important ones on top?

The resolution is 1280 by 800. I wonder if I could just hang the left and right sides of the rooms off the desktop and still be able to see enough of the action.

Shoot, that does not look good at all. Even If I were folding most hands I still couldnt keep up with the action very well.

You need to look for the letters (W)UXGA when it describes the laptop resolution. That means 1600x1200, the min. resolution to 4-table without overlap. WUXGA is 1920x1200.
