Default 100NL : KK, can I get away from this flop with overpair?

Yet another situation with KK and a side pot.

Party Poker (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

UTG raises to $3, 2 folds, button goes all in on short stack for $20
Hero just calls $19 in BB. UTG calls $17.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)

Pot about $60, we each have about $80 left.
Hero pushes allin. UTG calls.

I know some want a raise preflop to isolate the shortie allin, but even without a raise it's a big call from UTG, and if I don't raise I can get paid by hands like QQ. If an ace flops I'm probably losing anyway.

Anyway, this flop is scary; is there any way I could get more information and possibly fold if beat? It's a dry side pot at this point, so maybe we'd check it down without big hands?
