Default Cheater

A few days ago, I was told by a friend that there would be a game tuesday (tonight). This is a home game i've been to about 3 or 4 times, and while the play isn't good (splashing, folding out of turn) I generally keep a steady winrate. He also suspects one of the guys there to be cheating. The reason he told me this was after he claimed to lose on consecutive 1 to 47, 2 to 47, and 4 to 47 shots while that guy was dealing (fairly obvious), and similar feats a few days later. He knows that I can spot people bottom-dealing much better than anyone else there, which is what he thinks he's doing.

The question I have is this: If (When) I spot this guy cheating, how should I go about with it? I'm thinking of saying something like "I'd appreciate if you dealt from the top of the deck and kindly quit cheating." I'm not sure.

Suggestions?

1. Introduce a protector to the bottom of the deck.

2. I'd watch him before you bring in the card protector. Even if he doesn't base deal, he may sneak peeks at cards, so you want him out of there.

3. If he can't directly cheat, he may try to angle-shoot wherever he can; make up some iron-clad rules for this game.

....collude with everyone else to cheat him, new stacked decks when he goes to the bathroom or for a beer, take out a black chip and replace it with a blue, signal other players with high cards...ect. If that doesnt work, then I concur with the roundhouse kick to the face. I would subsiquently follow this up with him "biting the curb"- please refer to American History X for details.

ok, but seriouly. Anybody that has seen Rounder's knows there's only one way to deal with a bottom dealer. I don't care if it is a friendly home game for $5.

I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but "Rounders" is a fictional movie.

Simple. If you catch him, kick him out of the game permanently. Don't mess around.
