Default I don\'t have the bankroll for 20/40 but it\'s a better game than 10/20

At my local casino the 20 game is the highest game spread and the game is so good and much easier compared to the 10/20 game. I could stand to lose a grand no problem but if I do I probably won't be back for a month or 2. Should I risk playing in it and going bust?

If losing a grand would force you to quit going to the casino for a month, you likely don't have the bankroll for 10/20 either.

I do I have won 30k+ online playing ring games and tournies. But just losing $1,000 would make me not want to play as high for a few weeks. It's kind of like taking a shot at a higher limit.

I don't really understand your post, then. Losing $1K can easily happen in one bad afternoon at 20/40. If losing it would bother you that much I would recommend against "taking a shot." Just my $.02.

I know 1k is nothing in 20/40 and I don;t really care if I lose it. I was just trying to decide what limit to play when I go there so I made that post looking for any help.

It's just a weird situation that the 20/40 game is 3-4x better than the 10/20 because 20/40 is the highest game spread.

Sounds like you are talking about Foxwoods. If you are and I were you, I would definitely play the 20 and hope you run good out of the gate.

It really is a much better game than the 10-20.

I'm assuming you are talking about GBH (port perry)... I've played the 10 game and the 20 game there, and my winrate is a lot higher at the 20 game then at the 10. I have found that a lot of the degenerates at the 10 game bust once, and then switch to the 20 to try and get unstuck.. So for the most part, the play is terrible, and can be very profitable, but fishy play increases variance, so if you can't handle losing 1k in a night, then this game is defnitly not for you..

Whats your local casino?
I play brantford pretty regularly and the 10/20 game is pretty horriable. As is the case though with games like this the swings are going to be bigger when people are drawing out on you. So play the 20-40 if you think its going to get better (which I dont think it will, by much) But you really have to allow your self more slack then a 1K because that can be gone in one session, with a little bit of bad luck.

be prepared to go down 4 or 5 racks. If you cant handle that, then you shouldnt play in this game
