Monitor / video card help
Hi guys, i hope someone can help me sort this one out.
I went down to the store yesterday and got me a nice big CRT that was on sale with a max resolution of 2048x1536. Anyway i get it home and plug it in and load the drivers off the cd. Now when i go to change the resolution it only allows me to go as high as 1280 x 1024. I am using a pretty outdated computer right now. Its a P3 800Mg CPU runing Windows XP 1028ram and only using the onboard video card. I have a feeling that the video card may be the cause of the problem. Does the video card limit max res? Thanks in advance for any help. |

Re: Monitor / video card help
Yes, a video card has a maximum resolution. If it is integrated on the mother board it is likely that it is of the simpler kind.
