use the code tags if you want. having to put the periods in is a pain in the ass. with the code tags, spaces actually show up as spaces

i got at least 15 bids for them so there is a market. i don't even know if i want to sell them anymore. seems like i'm going to have to spend $1000+ in addition to the monitors. could get 2 more 2001FP's for the same price. i got a few good offers though

anyway i think this idea is dumb, but it would be good if we had a 2+2 market. no way that would fly though

Looks cool, but remember how text and some graphics look funny when you rotate a display 90 degrees. That is because the RGB parts of a pixel is rotated. Things would look a little weird on the side monitors compared to the middle one.

You need a graphics card with dual-link dvi compatibility. This does NOT mean simply two dvi ports, but an actual dual-link feature on the card itself. There are very few cards with that feature out, and Apple sells 6800U and 7800GTX models specifically for that monitor. I bet Dell will do the same.

I did a little searching on Newegg.com and found video cards that support 2560x1600 resolution starting at $95.00. Of course they up quite a bit higher than that, but there are several options under $200. Here is the NEWEGG link for the page I found. These are PCI Express X16 cards. There are 14 choices. You should be able to get an idea for here.

None of the cheap ones have Dual DVI which you need to run this monitor.

None of the cheap ones have Dual DVI which you need to run this monitor.

You do **NOT** need dual DVI to run this monitor. The monitor has dual DVI so you can plug in multiple sources, and switch between them.

It does have dual DVI but like the other guy said I dont believe you need dual DVI to hook up this monitor.

This monitor is going to be a beauty. However I do have reservations about spending $1500+ on a monitor and then having to spend another several hundred on a video card just so I can utilize the max resolution.

are you sure? from what i read it seemed like the most that a single DVI can support is 1920x1200 and that's only due to some crafy engineering by dell. i have no idea what any of this stuff means. that's just what i think i saw.
