What is the best Monty Python skit?

A fair question and one that in recent weeks 'as been much on my mind.

Many connoiseurs will name the The Dead Parrot Sketch, The Spanish Inquisition, The Lumberjack Song or Ministry of Silly Walks.

These are all good choices, but I cast my vote for Flying Sheep.

the only MP skit that I have ever found funny was the silly walks one, and I was totally stoned at the time.

Galaxy song, cause it's actually smart. I'll admit though, i've never fact-checked it...

All the skits you mentioned are definately top class humour, and anyone who says differently is probably American.

I like the Philosophers' drinking song, every sperm is sacred, and the "how to hide" sketch, but if I had to choose, I'd probably vote for the Spanish Inquisistion.

All of the sketches from Flying Circus mentioned here are top notch, I'm not sure which would be my favourite though.

To me, other candidates not mentioned yet would be the detective sketch, and also a sketch where they're in a courtroom and John Cleese is a barrister and keeps calling ridiculous witnesses (this was the first time cardinal Richeleau (sorry about spelling) appeared I believe).

Oh and I think I might have never laughed as much as I did when I saw the upper-class twit race of the year for the first time.

And there are so many others I'll think of later.
