The same thing has been happening to me all week. I've had to stop playing because I can't stand constantly getting outdrawn. That's Omaha I guess.

you are way ahead. even if he has three unduplicated kickers with the case jack, you are still a big favorite. if there was a lot more money left you might want to play it different, but given that you are virtually all-in on the turn, no problem.

I figured it was a bad suckout, and that my play was good. I actually was gonna smooth call the turn if the guy in between us came along too, since my only worry cards were the A and Q. When he got out I knew I was up against the other J, and felt he would call the all in.

if you're asking if there was some way you could have prevented the drawout, no. if you're asking if he made a bad play by calling, yes he did.

but if you want actual advice on how to play the hand, it depends on your opponents. aside from catching a bluff, the only way to get action on this hand is to catch someone with trip jacks or hope some fool calls with a flush draw or hits a flush and pays you off. once the flop has been bet and called, there are two possibilities:

- they have 99xx and Jxxx
- one has Jxxx and the other has a flush draw

either way, you are up against a jack unless your opponents are utter morons. your job now is to protect your hand. if you feel pretty sure fourth street will be bet, go ahead and make the play you made. otherwise, it is better to check-raise now and get all the money in on fourth street, than to allow the other guy to outdraw you for free, not knowing which card beats you.
