Default HU sit-n-go\'s at Prima

After a brief sabbatical from poker I logged into a Prima site to find that they now offer HU Sit-n-gos. They’re all NL and range in buy-ins from $1.00 to $100.00.

Interesting thing is the rapidly increasing blind structure, they start out at 2.50/5.00 (1000 chips) and double every 10 hands dealt. As opposed to stars which increases every 10 minutes (approximately 40 hands)

A crapshoot you say? Maybe, but if you can adapt to this structure I think it can be profitable. I played and won six in a row which is all I’ve played so far. The competition is average to below.

i really don't see how these can be long term profitable unless there is no entry fee. you don't mention one, but i assume there is one. i would thinkk you would need to win at least 65% of the ones you play to make it worth your while and i don't see anyone but the best doing that.

one could make cheap heads up practice out of it, though. refine your heads up game for, say, $2.00 per day. not a bad deal.

cheers!

Yes a 65% win rate would be expected for a decent player with above average competition. If you’re a decent heads-up player, I’d say you can do better than 65% at this site from what I have seen.
The fees are:
.25 – $5.00
.50 - $10
.75 - $15
1.00 - $20
2.50 - $50
5.00 - $100

If you compare these buy-ins to what you would pay in rake in a HU ring game you do much better playing the tournaments. The rake in HU ring is outrageous.

I have played primarily HU limit tourneys in the past but I think this might be the place to refine the ole’ NL game.
