Discussing on AIM
OK, so jason_t has gone out on a limb and tried to come up with some ways to improve the forum. Although I think he got some undeserved bashing, he is trying to keep this forum clean and thats noble. I will now try to continue this noble [albeit possibly unrealistic] vision by activily trying something.
I suggest that we form a larger AIM community so that we can discuss hands 1 on 1 before we go posting all of these hands in the forums. I began talking with other members over AIM about a month ago and I have gotten to know a few on a much better level. We have also been able to have some very good poker discussions. I have been able to review hands with them that I wasn't too sure were interesting enough for full public review and got very good feedback. Most of the time it only takes one person to discuss a hand with to figure out what went wrong or if you played it correctly. So now I am going to go out on a limb myself and say that I think it may provide helpful to the SS community to publically give out my screen name so that anyone may come and talk to me about any hands or poker in general [using bison's convertor, convert all hands to plain text in the top left, not 2+2 so that it is easier to read in AIM] My screen name is marinerguy22 What I will not appreciate is people constantly bombarding me with every small decision or spamming me, but Im willing to take the risk. Heck, no one new may talk to me because I am not an expert and sometimes people are afraid to talk to those they don't know, but Im putting it out there nonetheless. I encourage any other veteran posters to post their screen names if they would like to help this cause of taking up personal conversations with other posters, especially the less experienced. Once again, I do not claim to be an expert, but even so, just one outside perspective can be useful. Looking forward to some good discussions with you guys. CMI is ultra sexy |
