Re: Common HU flop situation
I think StellarWind did an awesome job here. Listen to him
IN a vaccum, with no reads (stats alone are not reads), I simply call. A flop c/r tells me I'm the underdog at the low limits. I'm more inclined to assign a flop c/r to mean 'draw' at the higher limits, where you enoucnter more tricky players. You have the odds (w/ implied odds) to pair up and win this pot, if you improve. |

Re: Common HU flop situation
Basically, if we count your outs as 7...your call is EV=+. If we count your outs as 4...your call basically cost -.0875 of a bet.
I mean this could very well be a draw, top pair or mid pair pretty easily. so usually u are drawing live here a ton, so even if one of your outs is counterfited and u bump it down to 4 outs, its not a huge hit u are taking in the EV department. If u call here with 4outs, 100 times, u bascially costs yourself 9sbs over the long run. |
