Default King of hearts, queen of diamonds

5-10 @ Taj

UTG is a solid, loose but often tricky opponent
SB hasn't done anything to take note of, except that sometimes he practically shouts "CHECK!" and raps the table hard.

Hero is UTG+1 with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Preflop:
UTG calls, Hero calls, 6 folds, SB calls, BB checks

Flop: (4 SB) 6x J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds

Turn: (3.5 BB) J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB calls, UTG calls

River: (7.5 BB) Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, Hero ...?

On the turn, I figured that extra J looked scary enough that I would be able to take the pot down at the river if I missed. I'd seen UTG lead flops with top pair, less than top pair, and various draws, especially in short pots.

I can't imagine doing anything besides calling against the opponent you describe.

Raise pf. Betting the flop is easy. The turn sucks to have to bet because of your position, but I probably would go ahead and bet too. On the river I probably call not expecting to win.

Wow, your pre-flop limp bought you the button. Ok, but I still might raise...

The turn is close. UTG seems to be going nowhere but I guess it seems feasible that you have the best hand. Its super close, but I might just take the free card for fear of being check-raised in a small pot.

The river I'd just call. Seems clear UTG was on the hearts.

I think you should raise preflop, check the turn, and call the river.

yes, especially with a decent draw against 2 players on a paired board where a lot of players will call down w/middle pair..

Assuming pre-flop play is what it is, nobody raises the flop to give flush draws incorrect odds ?? Is my hand too strong (nut OESD, two overcards, back-door flush draw) to want to narrow the field at this point?
