Flawed logic. Mohammed Ali was loud and obnoxious for show. It was all self-promotion.

Unless of course Hellmuth does it all for self-promotion and show, too.

pretty far off here. actually in aruba, phil had the mic and was talking to a large group of people when he said something like "and there's annie duke! rumor has it she took some clown for 2 million recently on TV! congrats annie!"

so obviously he can laugh at himself.

I disagree. Part of Clay's act may have been an act, but I think most of it was just pure attitude and ego. But then if you're gonna lay on the ropes against Big George and expect to come back you better have an ego. If you're gonna finish a fight against Norton with your jaw broken you better have attitude.

So what's your point? I never said Phil can't play. I just said he's a whiney, obnoxious twit. And I disliked Ali for the same reasons, but yea you had to respect his ability.
