Jenifer Harmon decision to lay down AK on a short stack?
Last night while watching the circuit event I was shocked to see Jen Lay down AK to Gabe Thaler who reraised an amature. Given Thaler's reputation for agressiveness and Jen's shortstacke, as well as the game being 4 sided I dont understand what she was waiting for. I think this is an easy push. Which leads me to this poll would you lay down AK being in the same situation? Please discuss.

Re: Jenifer Harmon decision to lay down AK on a short stack?
She also basically said at the table "I think you're weak!!"
That's why Jean-Robert said "If Jennifer thinks you guys are weak I believe her, I'm calling with AJ+" Maybe she decided she didn't believe that Thaler would raise with complete air and didn't want to play for all her chips against a small PP with a likely dead ace in Doug's hand? |

[/ QUOTE ] This was my take on what her analysis must have been, while I was watching it. On the other hand, I wouldn't have laid this down. I'm willing to take a race here, if it comes to it, when I still have a little bit of fold equity and a good deal of dead money in the pot. |

SHe figured by fold she can move up the money to a higher place, but perhaps if she doubles here she wins it. I dont know i just dont understand the fold on a short stack. I love Jen, im a big fan of her (more of Eve Ng) but I think this was an error. |

SHe figured by fold she can move up the money to a higher place [/ QUOTE ] That's the impression I got. She was short and saw someone might be out on this hand, add to that the possibility of a dead ace and it was reasonable. I was suprised, but then i could see the hole cards which is incredibly biasing. She pulled 2nd, so it's hard to argue she was wrong. |

Clearly the others would fold she would have added 100K to her stack than when she went all in against Bernald or whatever with KJ she would have double for more and have a legitment stack. I feel this was the turning point for her. |
