Button seems to be a calling station, but i have only played 20 or so hands with him.
What is the standard move here? Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx UTG ($48.75) MP ($8.60) CO ($33.75) Button ($37.30) SB ($135.77) Hero ($92.65) Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.50. SB posts a blind of $0.25. <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $2</font>, MP calls $2, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $2, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $9.5</font>, UTG folds, MP calls $6.60 (All-In), Button calls $8. Re: sidepot semantics
Against calling stations, I usually prefer to check the flop when I miss. It's far too likely he's going to stick around with whatever he has, so there's no point in spewing your chips.
However, be sure you also check on occasion when you hit the flop (after re-raising pf) so you're not too easily readable by observant players (if applicable). Against observant players, your check will be met with some degree of suspicion (especially after re-raising pf). |
